See the real plane fly at:
62" wing span. Power: K&B .61. Length 51" . NOTE: Foam wing cores. Bruce Sanders of Century Jet and they will make the foam wing for the J7W1 Shinden. They will go as far as installing the retracts and sheeting and whatever the customer wants. People can contact him at: sales@centuryjet.com
HISTORY: Japan developed the Shinden (Magnificent Lightning) in 1945. The J7W1 Shinden was the only World War II aircraft of canard configuration that any combatant ordered into production. Canard is a French term. The original meaning is obscure but aircraft designers used it then, as now, to describe an aircraft with the main wing mounted at the rear of the fuselage and a smaller wing at the front. Though innovative and unusual, the airplane never got past the prototype stage. Wingspan 36 ft 6 in., Length 31 ft 6 in., Height 12 ft 10 in.
These are high resolution TIFF files and PDF files containing 200 x 200 dots per inch.
Either of the files will print plans 36" x 55" and 36" x 68".
The CAD drawn file will print a plan 36" x 68" for a Balsa made wing.
Files $15.00
The new wing improvements are:
1. Working rudders. If they are installed as shown, the "yaw" offset in the engine should be eliminated. 2. The Main gear on the original foam wing had too much of an angle according to the Jap three views. This was corrected. 3.The correct gear length is shown on the new wing plan.

I had had a request to supply files that could be enlarged. Naturally, I saved the files and here they are. The fuselage and wing has been split down the middle and may be enlarged up to a whopping 200% (126" wing span). I also include a wing file that may be enlarged by 150% for those who simply do not need a larger wing span than 93 inches. This will save you on printing 2 sheets, cutting and gluing.
Simply do the math and figure out what wing span you desire. You will need to know the percentage required to enlarge the plans. Just tell the printer (in the USA, most likely some fast food reject that lied about having a high school diploma) that you require the file to be printed at 150% (for example).
Using scissors, remove the strip including the line on the one sheet as instructed. FYI, this is because no printer prints to the edge of a sheet. Now you know why. Align the 2 matching sheets. Now simply use a small splotch of glue on one end to secure that end. Make sure the plan is aligned. Now using your wife, a weight, your arm or your thumb to keep the plan from shifting, lift the other end of the sheet and make another splotch of glue using your glue stick. The blue on the pictures represent the glue. Now check and double check your alignment. Allow one minute for the glue to set. Now gently separate the overlapping 2 sheets (like a clam) and make a stripe using the glue stick the full length of the plan. Check and make any adjustments to the seam as necessary. Use a LARGE glue stick for this. They are 1 inch in diameter and sold at every grocery store, drug store and where ever stationary is sold. If you have failed to follow my extremely simple suggestions and now have a scotch taped, misaligned, wrinkled plan with a bow in it. Just wad it up, dispose of it in the trash and go play golf as you do not have the ability to the scratch build this plane. You had better stick to flying ARFs!
These are high resolution TIFF files and PDF files containing 200 x 200 dots per inch.
Either of the files will print plans 19" x 55" and 19" x 68". The wing file will print a plan 24" x 68".

Picked up your website by accident looking for plan details for Sig RC48. Looked and listened until my eyes started to melt. This is probably the most complete and viewer friendly site I have ever had the privilege of viewing. At my age, all the music, with the different pages, was a most pleasant experience!
Congratulations on a very well done site. Professionally done, well thought out, lots of interesting articles. Good job! I also found, being an Aero Modeller, the pictures associated with the different articles, to be tastefully selected and presented. All in all, a pleasant viewing experience.

HISTORY: The small, tubby F4F/FM-2 Wildcat is one of the important, yet often forgotten Allied fighters of World War II. Designed in 1935 by the Grumman Aircraft Corp., the XF4F-3 was the first all-metal, carrier launched, monoplane fighter purchased by the U.S. Navy. The F4F beat out competing designs from Brewster and Seversky. The robust and agile F4F was the primary front line fighter of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps at the onset of World War II. The Wildcat proved to be dependable and was loved by pilots and maintenance crews alike.

Lets practice our math. At 25 cents a square foot, our cost are? 2' x 3' = 6 square feet times .25 = $1.50. Geesh!
I could not mail the plan to you in a plain brown envelope for this small amount at today's prices. And if you can print one at work, then do it! And while your at it, print a few copies for friends, family or to build on. But most important of all, my plans are meant to be enjoyed not just by you, but all that are close to you. And that is exactly how I feel. So I would be proud of you if you share. And if you make a few copies for a club fun raiser, then good for you.
Miss America 1960, wing span just 42", length 27", power Cox .020. But hey, with today's electrics and micro gear, I bet you could go solar and fly her all day long!
